For Yager Development GmbH, a multi-award-winning developer studio for computer and video games based in Berlin-Kreuzberg, a functioning IT infrastructure and the associated protection of all systems against cybercriminals is of the utmost importance.
In order to respond to the greatly increased threat level in the area of IT security and to ensure the highest level of network security, the company was looking for a suitable threat hunting tool for early attack detection. The goal was to add an effective security layer to the existing protection tools, such as antivirus solutions and firewalls, in order to be able to detect potential attack activities in good time.
As a long-standing IT security service provider, Allgeier secion had already carried out successful pentests at Yager in the past. This time, too, the software company turned to the Hamburg IT security experts.
The decision was quickly made in favor of the Active Cyber Defense (ACD) service, which proactively and continuously scans the corporate network for anomalies and anomalies - and sounds the alarm early in the event of an attack, so that compromised systems can be isolated and cleaned up in a targeted manner before any damage is done.
As a "managed detection and response service" (MDR), ACD ties up significantly fewer financial and human resources - compared to SIEM software. After the successful implementation, Yager's IT security team was significantly relieved.
